Royals Back on Track with Two Big Wins

The Kansas City Royals took the first two games against the Cleveland Guardians, and all of a sudden, people feel much better.

Coming into this week, things were looking dark. The Royals had lost five of their last six to the A’s and Rangers, and a stretch of the schedule that had looked like a chance to gain ground in the playoff hunt was looking more like a classic Royals catastrophe.

But this team is different.

Sure, they struggled to take two of three from the awful Miami Marlins … but they did it. Then, they came out firing on all cylinders against division-leading Guardians, taking the first two games before dropping the third. They’ll go for the series win today, and if they can get it, this “soft stretch” of their schedule will start looking significantly better.
