Royals are going Streaking

The Kansas City Royals have won eight straight games with fantastic starting pitching and an offense that is scoring in bunches.

The Royals were able to open this week with a dominant series sweep against a Tigers team that has looked better this year. That series was capped with an impressive win against Tarik Skubal, one of the American League’s best starting pitchers.

As the team looks to complete its third series sweep in a row in Tampa Bay, the notion of Royals “beating the teams they’re better than” looks more and more like it applies to a majority of the league.

This win streak is especially crucial because the division-leading Cleveland Guardians are on fire, as well. The Royals have been able to stay within 1.5 games of first place leading up to their first series against Cleveland the first week of June.
