A Winning Road Trip Feels Pretty Nice

The Royals are taking advantage of a softer stretch in their schedule, and the offense is coming around.

Finally! This is the Royals team I expected. What we’ve seen in the last week seems much more representative of the team as a whole. Yes, the offense has had moments of struggle, but they’ve also had moments where they look like they can run it up a bit. And the pitching keeps dominating.

For many, the formula for the Royals was supposed to be great pitching, great fielding, great base running and enough offense. That’s basically been happening the last week, except maybe the base running part.

And the Royals got a sweep of the Rays and have a chance to take two of three from the Orioles today.
